The main emphasis of risk assessment is to participate in development of European risk assessment. Participation in the European Qalibra project is one of those where work is done to collect electronic data on the risk and benefit from food consumption. Furthermore, one of the more successful project has been the development of databases for Icelandic companies and consumers and is Database on Undesirable Substances in Icelandic Marine Catches one of those databases.
