DNA Sequencing
We offer DNA sequencing from PCR products or plasmids. The sequencing reactions are done in duplicates on ABI 3730. The sequences are edited and delivered to the client by E-mail.

Species identification of cultivated organisms
Species identification of a pure cultivated microbial strain includes DNA isolation, partial or whole sequencing of 16S rDNA and comparison with known sequences in Genbank. The client receives the sequence and results by E-mail.

We search for a specific gene or microbe in your sample if you provide the primer sequences.
The analysis includes isolation of biomass from the sample, DNA extraction, amplification of the gene or gene fragment using the species- or gene specific primers. Sequencing in ABI 3730.

Species composition in environmental samples
This method can be used to monitor changes of species composition in environmental samples from seawater, freshwater, soil or affluents or to trace the origin of microbial pollution etc.
The analysis includes isolation of biomass from the sample, DNA extraction, amplification of 16S rRNA genes, cloning and sequencing in ABI3730. The sequences obtained are compared with sequences in Genbank which identifies the species or the closest relatives.
