The Quintessence of Fish
The goal of this project is to increase the consumption of Icelandic seafood, increase the value and create a more positive image of it domestically and abroad. This will be done by producing a television series which will show the inexhaustible possibilities of Icelandic seafood. The emphasis will be on the introduction of the cooking methods, handling, uniqueness, quality and the possibilities of a regional raw material around the country in an original and flavourful way. Research has shown cooking series to be very influential on peoples consumption. A show such as this one can help turn the negative development of fish consumption around and in so improving the profit of the fishing industry. Financial objective of the project is to sell the series in Iceland and abroad.
