Species identification of Mytilus and their hybrids.

The goal of the project was to develop a quick genetic identification method for different species of the genus Mytilus and hybrids of two species. The development of a genetic tool is now available for species identification of M. galloprovincialis and M. edulis and their hybrids. The species identification is of value for ecological studies as well as identification for the market.
