Alþjóðlegur vinnufundur um sjálfbærni í sjávarútvegi fór fram í Verinu-Vísindagörðum á Sauðárkróki í júní 2007. Vinnufundurinn er hluti af vestnorrænu verkefni, sem Matís stýrir, og nefnist “Sustainable Food Information”. Verkefnið hefur það að markmiði að auðvelda fyrirtækjum í matvælaiðnaði, svo sem sjávarútvegsfyrirtækjum, að sýna fram á sjálfbærni.
